HOW IS THE PCR SWAB TEST PERFORMED?


The SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) PCR Test is a swab test. A swab is used to take a sample of your nose or throat. - No needles involved! A PCR test is able to pick up genetic material related to COVID-19, if you are infected - Please bear in mind that it will only tell you in you are currently have the infection at the time the swab is taken. Your swab test for Covid-19 should only take 5 minutes, this involves collecting a clinical sample of nasal secretions from the from the back of the nose and throat. Expect an email with your test results within 72 hours, depending on the type of service purchased.

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19?


Those infected with COVID-19 usually experience a dry, continuous cough with high temperature. Other symptoms of the infection may include fatigue, muscle pain and a sore throat , loss of taste and smell. WHAT ARE THE COVID TRAVEL AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR MY DESTINATION?


Different airlines have different policies and they are changing frequently. Unfortunately we do not know the specific requirements of each airline. Please contact your airline for details of their particular requirements.You will find the COVID PCR test travel requirements and timescales for popular countries at the www.gov.uk ‘Foreign Travel Advice’ page. it is your responsibility to verify all requirements and timescales with the consular sections of the respective countries.

SHOULD I TAKE THE TEST IF I AM EXPERIENCING SIGNS OF COVID-19?


Absolutely, the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) PCR COVID-19 test should be taken if you are suffering from the symptoms of coronavorus. If you experience symptoms of the coronavirus, you should take the swab test as soon as possible to check if you are infected. It is important to remember that whether or not you take the test, you should self-isolate if you experience symptoms to protect yourself and others around you.

WHAT DO THE RESULTS MEAN?


If you receive a positive result from the PCR Test, this shows that you are infected with the coronavirus. A negative result implies that you are not infected with COVID-19. Please be advised that if you are not currently infected with coronavirus, and receive a negative result, this does NOT mean that you will not catch it in the future. If you receive a negative result, you should remain vigilant and practise good hygiene and social distancing.

DOES THE PCR TEST IDENTIFY ANTIBODIES?


No. This type of COVID-19 test focuses on the identification of DNA linked to the coronavirus rather than antibodies. By doing so, the PCR Test can establish if a person is currently infected with the coronavirus.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE TEST CERTIFICATE?


You will receive an electronic laboratory report certified by a Consultant Physician in Infectious Diseases. This will be sent to you by secure email for you to print off before travel if necessary.

WHEN WILL I GET MY RESULTS?


Our priority is to provide you with the fastest possible results in a safe manner, you will receive your results within 70 hours of returning your sample. You will receive full details via email on booking.

WHAT IF I REQUIRE TESTS FOR MULTIPLE PEOPLE.?


Simply book a test for the first member of your party. Then repeat the process for another test, but on the payment screen enter the details of the second person. Repeat for any other members of your party. We will need to verify the identity of every member of your party. If you need to collect a test kit on behalf of someone else, please bring a photo of them holding their photo ID. There is no need for everyone to be present if you choose to drop your samples back at the clinic at a later date for testing.

CAN MY PASSPORT OR OTHER INFORMATION BE ADDED TO THE CERTIFICATE?


Yes. If you require other information such as your passport number on your certificate then please book a test as normal. When you go for your test, just let the member of staff know and they can add it for you there and then. Please bring your passport with you if you require your passport number on the certificate.

WHAT DATES WILL SHOW ON MY CERTIFICATE?


Your fitness to fly assessment will show the date and time at which the sample was taken. We are unable to modify lab report dates. If you wish us not to prepare your report until a certain date then please let us know after submitting in your sample. Should your results be positive we shall of course notify you right away as you would be required to self isolate immediately.
